  1. The Bad Block Scan should be run for each drive tested.  This is the only test that reads each block on the disk.
  2. For more thorough testing, also run the Exterior and Interior Track Seek Tests.

  4. The Random Seek Test is a minimal verification of the drive's seek mechanism.  It does not confirm that the entire drive is functioning properly.

  6. The Write Tests should be used only when it is suspected that the drive is having difficulty writing to the disk.
